Storing. Collecting.
Appraising. Brokering.
gunBOX will store legal handguns and long guns securely and in full compliance with the law — and, on request, handle collection, appraisal and brokerage. Handover and return will take place in person at our head office in Grenchen.
Storage.
Delivery will take place in person by appointment. Each firearm will be recorded individually (manufacturer, model, calibre, serial number, condition) and documented in a storage receipt. The firearms will be stored in a certified gun-grade steel safe in accordance with Art. 26 of the Weapons Act (WA) and Art. 47 of the Weapons Ordinance (WO).
- Box sizes Small, medium and large for handguns; a storage bag for long guns. The box becomes your property and remains with gunBOX for the duration of storage.
- Insurance included Current value against theft and natural damage will be included in the monthly rent; replacement value on request.
- Breech stored separately For automatic firearms, the breech will be stored separately in accordance with Art. 47 WO (surcharge per month).
Collection & Delivery.
On request, we will collect your firearms or return them to you. Transport will be carried out in accordance with the statutory transport regulations (Art. 28 WA), as a rule with two staff members, a secure transport container and separate transport insurance. Before every handover, we will verify whether the person is authorised to receive the firearms.
On request, we will provide a concrete quote in advance.
Appraisal.
We will appraise firearms and entire collections — usually on site at your premises. This is useful in cases of inheritance, to establish the insurance value, before a sale or simply to know the value of your holdings.
The final price will depend on the scope. We will tell you the costs in advance.
Buying & Selling.
gunBOX will broker between seller and buyer but will not itself become a contracting party to the purchase agreement. The transfer under firearms law — in particular the firearms acquisition permit and a written contract in accordance with Art. 11 WA — remains the responsibility of the parties involved.
For the statutory notification, the parties provide the required data and documents. gunBOX will observe the due diligence obligations of the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and may decline a brokerage if the statutory requirements cannot be met.
Ammunition will not be accepted.
gunBOX will accept exclusively legal handguns and long guns — ammunition is excluded from storage (GTC Clause 6.5). No sales, no online identification, no online conclusion of contracts.
